Better than TRT? (how I maintain 800+ Testosterone at 48)

October 19, 2025

Alright... let's talk about testosterone!

In the last 40-50 years…

Men’s testosterone has dropped 30-40%

That means most Dads' T levels CRUSHED their sons when they were their age.

So, by all accounts, my T levels should be LOWER now that I’m 48, right?

Well…

That's my total testosterone.

857.6 ng/dL.

And I've never touched TRT or any other drugs.

If you think I'm just genetically blessed...

Note that a few years ago my testosterone was around 562 ng/dL.

But instead of jumping on TRT, I decided to figure out what was actually causing the problem.

Here’s the thing too…

When you start supplementing with exogenous testosterone, your brain stops telling your testicles to make their own; they essentially go into hibernation.

And for many men, once you've been on high-dose TRT for years, it becomes incredibly difficult to get off once your testicles have “forgotten” how to do their job!

So, if you’re a man reading this…

And you’re disappointed by your labs or have suspicious symptoms of low T…

Don’t panic.

Because I can tell you from my own journey and seeing thousands of anecdotes from guys in their 40s, 50s and even 60s…

In the vast majority of cases, you don't need TRT at all.

You just need to fix your diet and lifestyle with this elegantly simple blueprint:

First of all, if you are insulin resistant, your T is probably suffering because of it.

One study demonstrated an association between low testosterone and insulin resistance in men with T2D.

So, get that checked ASAP (if your fasting insulin is above 5 μIU/mL, there’s your biggest problem!)

Then, eliminate processed foods and seed oils. Eat single-ingredient, nutrient-dense whole foods your great-great-grandmother would recognize: meat, plants, organs, fruit, honey, and raw dairy.

You MUST give your body the raw materials it needs for optimal testosterone production.

Things like Zinc, vitamin A, boron, C15, stearic acid, and odd-chain fatty acids; You’ll get these in abundance from meat, organs, fruit, honey, and raw dairy.

EMPHASIS on the organs too.

These contain all the unique bioavailable vitamins, minerals, peptides and bioactive compounds that are absolutely crucial for healthy testosterone.

Ideally, you want a range of fresh organs to get the whole spectrum.

Not always practical, I get it.

I’m probably busier now than I’ve ever been myself… that is why I’ve doubled down on Beef Organs from Heart & Soil.

Am I saying everyone needs to eat this way? No... But it is EFFECTIVE!

Shoulder-to-shoulder with diet is sleep (this is non-negotiable)

It’s simple: if you are not getting enough high-quality sleep… your brain will not tell your testicles to make testosterone.

Get 7-8 hours, same time every night. Ditch the alcohol or marijuana – even if recreational.

And avoid the melatonin-disrupting blue screens. Use incandescent lights after sunset and turn OFF the Wifi.

During the day get PLENTY of sunlight.

I'm in the sun every day in Costa Rica for more reasons than one…

UV exposure activates a skin-brain-gonad axis and correlates with higher testosterone (PMID: 34433056). Try grounding your bare feet, too, if possible.

You’ll also want to incorporate a solid exercise routine – lifting heavy aka resistance training is associated with higher testosterone (PMID: 32297287)

Once you have these fundamentals dialed in… think about your environment.

Unfortunately, our hormones are bombarded by endocrine disruptors round the clock… and it is not good (PMID: 40301255)…

So, consider what environmental obstacles might be harming you here.

Do you still use traditional laundry detergent? Fragrances? Plastic bottles and kitchenware? Polyester clothing? What are your bedsheets made from?

These might all feel like “small rocks” compared to things like sleep, diet and exercise, etc.

But they DO add up!

And that's it really...

All my “secrets” to how I maintain healthy, high testosterone at 48 years old.

Remember: declining testosterone with age is NOT inevitable.

It's a result of declining diet and lifestyle quality.

My numbers are proof.

And I'm willing to bet ANY man on earth with low T that if they do these things consistently…

They’ll see huge improvements.

The male body wants to produce testosterone…

You just need to give it the right inputs while removing the obstacles.

(Note to the ladies: If you have a man in your life who could benefit from this information, please share it with him. His health matters to you, his kids, and these principles can change his life!)
