You wake up every morning thinking you're living a healthy life...
But what if I told you that from the moment you open your eyes…
You're being bombarded with hormone-disrupting chemicals that could be sabotaging your fertility, your testosterone, and your overall health?
Most people have absolutely NO idea they're essentially living in a toxic soup.
And today, I want to walk you through a typical day and show you exactly where these hidden toxins are lurking...
#1 Starting in your bed.
Think about it. You spend 6-8 hours every night in your bed. Your sheets, your mattress, your pajamas...
If you're using conventional bedding washed in fragranced detergent, you're absorbing phthalates (endocrine disruptors) through your skin all night long.
This is why when I travel to Airbnbs, I literally ask them to wash the sheets in fragrance-free detergent...
Otherwise, I'll wake up smelling like that chemical soup, and I KNOW those toxins are getting absorbed into my body.
You might even remember when New York State BANNED multiple popular detergents because they contained dangerous levels of 1,4-dioxane - a probable human carcinogen.
Arm & Hammer Clean Burst? BANNED.
Tide Original? BANNED.
Even some "free and clear" versions had concerning levels of this cancer-causing chemical.
But that is just the beginning...
If you're sleeping in polyester sheets or wearing polyester underwear, you need to hear this...
There was actually a study where they put polyester underwear on dogs…
(I can't believe they did this, but they did: PMID: 8279095).
The result? Massive disruption to sperm production that took months to reverse!
Cotton underwear? No problems.
This is why I only wear 100% natural fabrics - cotton, wool, nothing synthetic touching my skin for extended periods.
#2 Next, your bathroom
Your toilet paper? Probably contains BPA (yes, really).
Your toothpaste? LOADED with fluoride, which studies show can disrupt thyroid function and potentially calcify your pineal gland (PMID: 38029816)
Your mouthwash? Carpet bombing beneficial bacteria in your mouth that help produce nitric oxide and regulate blood pressure.
I just use a natural boar's hair toothbrush and water. My teeth are fine, my breath doesn't stink because my diet is dialed in, and I'm not ingesting toxic chemicals twice a day!
#3 Moving on to your kitchen
If you're cooking on non-stick pans, you're literally aerosolizing PFAS ("forever chemicals") into the air and your food.
These chemicals are linked to:
(PMID: 39441666, PMID: 38804291,PMID: 37931739)
When I travel, I bring my own stainless steel pan because I refuse to cook on Teflon.
(Trust me, just watch the movie ‘Dark Waters’ and you’ll never touch Teflon again).
And don't get me started on plastic food storage...
Even "BPA-free" plastic often contains BPS or BPE - which may be WORSE endocrine disruptors than the original BPA.
Multiple studies show moms with higher BPA exposure have babies with higher body fat and bigger waist circumferences (PMID: 23416456, PMID: 27187982, PMID: 38242307… )
How wild is that? We're literally programming obesity and metabolic dysfunction from birth!
#4 Cosmetics and personal care nightmare...
Ladies, this one's especially for you...
The average woman uses 12 personal care products daily, exposing herself to over 160 unique chemicals.
Shampoos, conditioners, lotions, makeup - they're loaded with phthalates, parabens, and PFAS.
Your scalp is incredibly absorbent. What you put on your hair goes directly into your bloodstream.
I don't use shampoo, conditioner, or soap. Just water.
And when I need a moisturizer? Beef tallow.
It works better than any synthetic lotion, and it's what humans used for thousands of years.
#5 Fragrances...
Here's something that'll blow your mind...
Companies can hide dozens of toxic chemicals under the single word "fragrance" on ingredient labels.
That Glade plug-in? Those car air fresheners? Your perfume?
All loaded with phthalates that are absorbed through your skin and lungs.
If you can smell it on your clothes after being in that environment, those chemicals are IN your body.
I could keep goinghere…
But I don’t want to overwhelm you (or ruin your day 🤣)
So let’s move on to the good news…
You have MORE control than you think.
Here are my favorite swaps that make the biggest difference:
✅ White vinegar for ALL laundry (including sheets and towels)
✅ 100% cotton or wool clothing and bedding
✅ Glass containers for ALL food storage
✅ Stainless steel or cast iron cookware only
✅ No fragrances, perfumes, or air fresheners ANYWHERE
✅ Natural cleaning products (baking soda, vinegar)
✅ Ditch the cosmetics and personal care products
✅ Wooden cutting board > plastic cutting board
✅ A Reverse Osmosis filtration system
When you think about it…
Many of these aren't even expensive changes.
White vinegar costs less than toxic detergent.
Natural fabrics last longer than synthetic ones.
Cast iron pans last forever.
However, don't let perfect be the enemy of good.
Start with one change. Maybe switch your detergent. Replace your non-stick pans.
Small steps compound into MASSIVE health improvements over time.
Just do whatever you can.
Because here’s the alarming reality…
Fertility rates are PLUMMETING.
Testosterone levels in men are crashing.
Obesity rates keep climbing despite all our "advances" in healthcare.
We have some of the best medical technology in the world… yet chronic disease rates are skyrocketing.
What's the common denominator?
We're living completely differently than humans lived for hundreds of thousands of years.
Our genetics haven't changed, but our environment has become a toxic wasteland.
The solution isn't complicated...
Eat like a human (meat, organs, fruit, honey, raw dairy).
Live like a human (natural materials, minimal chemicals).
It's really that simple.
Every intentional choice you make is a step toward reclaiming your birthright to optimal health.
